Web design for plumbers
Plumbing enquiries tend to arrive from a phone, often mid-problem, and the site has a few seconds to make calling easy. Synex Studio builds plumbing websites that load fast, carry your licence details where they belong, and tell a burst-pipe caller apart from a bathroom renovation enquiry.
WaterMark Certification Scheme
Plumbing and drainage products have to be certified under the ABCB scheme, so the fittings and brands a site names should sit on the register.
Single price rule
The Australian Consumer Law requires the total price to sit at least as prominently as any component, which shapes how call-out fees are shown.
Warranty against defects
If the site advertises a workmanship warranty, the Australian Consumer Law sets wording that has to appear alongside it, including for services.
What plumbers need from a website
-
Licence numbers and scope of work
In Queensland, advertising has to carry the name the QBCC licence is held in plus the licence number, and a website is advertising; NSW sets its own version of the same rule. Scope matters as much as the number, because gasfitting, backflow prevention and thermostatic mixing valve work sit behind separate licences or endorsements, so the site must not imply work you are not authorised to do.
-
Emergency calls and planned work
A blocked drain at 11pm and a bathroom renovation are the same business but not the same visitor: one wants a call button under their thumb, the other wants finished work, scope and a sense of how you operate. A site built for only one of them quietly loses the other.
-
Service areas without filler suburb pages
Most plumbing businesses have no shopfront, so the website and the Google Business Profile are what tell people which suburbs you actually cover. The usual shortcut is forty near-identical suburb pages with the name swapped, and that reads as filler to a homeowner and to a search engine.
What we build for plumbers
Mobile-first emergency call layout
A mobile-first design that keeps your after-hours number within thumb reach on every page, so someone standing in water taps once instead of hunting through a menu.
Service pages by licence class
Hand-coded service pages that separate plumbing, drainage and gasfitting from endorsed work such as backflow prevention and thermostatic mixing valve testing, so the site advertises exactly what you hold.
Suburb pages worth reading
A custom WordPress theme with a service-area template built for real local detail, so each suburb page has a reason to exist beyond the name in the heading.
Enquiry forms that triage
Plugin work built in-house that sorts an enquiry by job type, urgency and suburb, carries the photos the customer has already taken on their phone, and lands in your inbox or job management software.
Fast builds on Australian hosting
Hand-coded pages with Core Web Vitals kept in check and Australian hosting behind them, because an emergency search on patchy mobile data will not wait for a page to load.
Ongoing care and small changes
Updates, backups, monitoring and security patching, plus the small edits that come up, like a storm-season notice, a changed after-hours number or a new licence class on the services page.
Common questions
Do we have to show our licence number on the website?
In Queensland, advertising has to show the name your QBCC licence is held in along with the licence number, and a website counts as advertising, so a trading name can sit alongside the licensed name but not replace it. NSW sets its own advertising requirements for licensed work, so if you hold licences in more than one state we set the site up to carry the details each regulator currently asks for. We put the details in the footer and on service pages, and give you somewhere to explain notifiable work and the compliance certificate a property owner receives.
Can you put our Google reviews on the site?
Yes, genuine reviews can be displayed with the source visible so a reader can check them. What we will not do is write testimonials for you, or quietly hide the ones you would rather not show, because fabricated, incentivised or selectively edited reviews can amount to misleading conduct under Australian Consumer Law, and the ACCC has taken enforcement action over fake and manipulated reviews. If you would rather not run reviews at all, photos of completed work and a clear scope of service do a similar job.
How do we tell whether the site is working when people just ring us?
Analytics goes on at launch, and taps on the call button are recorded as their own event alongside completed enquiry forms, so phone calls are not invisible in the reporting. From there you can see which services and which suburbs the calls come from and where the site is going quiet. We do not promise a ranking or a number of calls, only a build that is fast and reporting that shows what is actually happening.
