Web design for ASX-listed companies

A listed company's website is part of the disclosure and governance record, not a brochure sitting beside it. The investor centre, the announcements archive and the governance page have to be accurate, current and easy to find, whether the reader is a retail shareholder or an analyst.

Corporations Act s110D

A document sent as a link has to stay readily accessible for later reference, which sets the file formats and naming across the investor centre.

Misleading or deceptive conduct

What the site says about the company can be read as conduct in relation to its securities, so investor pages need dates, sources and easy correction.

Listing Rule 3.1 disclosure

Market sensitive information goes to the ASX platform before anywhere else, so news, blog and social posts wait on the announcement.

What ASX-listed companies need from a website

  1. Announcements have to reach ASX first

Under listing rule 15.7, information that is for release to the market cannot go to anyone else until ASX has acknowledged it is released. A website that can schedule or auto-publish a market sensitive item on its own is a real problem, so the publishing workflow has to be built around that sequence.

  2. Governance disclosures live at fixed URLs

Under listing rule 4.10.3 the annual report can point to a page on your website instead of carrying the governance statement, and the Appendix 4G asks for the URLs where each disclosure sits. ASX guidance also expects that material to be centrally located on a corporate governance landing page, so a redesign that quietly changes addresses breaks links inside documents already lodged.

  3. The reporting load keeps growing

Annual reports, results packs, investor presentations, notices of meeting and, for entities in scope of the climate disclosure regime, sustainability reporting all land on the site as documents. They need to stay findable years later and readable on a phone, without the investor centre becoming a wall of PDFs.

What we build for ASX-listed companies

Investor centre and announcements archive

A structured investor centre with a searchable, filterable announcements archive, results and presentations, key dates and share registry details, built as proper content types rather than a folder of uploaded files.

Announcement and media release workflow

Custom plugin work so announcements and media releases are prepared in draft and go live in one deliberate action after ASX acknowledgement, with roles set so only the right people can publish.

Corporate governance landing page

One governance page holding the charters, codes and policies at permanent URLs you can quote in the annual report and Appendix 4G, with redirects handled when a document is superseded.

Accessible reports and notices

Templates and document handling built with accessibility in mind from the start, so shareholders reading a notice of meeting or an annual report on a phone or with a screen reader are not shut out.

Hand-coded theme, Australian hosting

A custom WordPress theme with no page-builder bloat and Australian hosting, so the site stays fast on results day when traffic spikes and the archive gets hit hardest.

Care plan through reporting cycles

Updates, backups, monitoring, security patching and the small changes each reporting cycle brings, so the official site stays available and unmistakably yours.

Common questions

Can the website publish an announcement at the same time we lodge it with ASX?

No. The listing rules require that information for release to the market is given to ASX and acknowledged as released before it goes to anyone else, including your own site. We build the workflow so the item is staged in draft and one action publishes it once you have that acknowledgement, with nothing set to go live on a timer.

Can you put our share price on the site?

ASX price data is licensed, so showing a delayed price feed on your website generally means an agreement with ASX or an authorised data vendor, and that arrangement sits with you rather than with us. We build the page and connect it to whichever feed you hold a licence for, and link clearly to your share registry for holding, dividend and address enquiries.

We are rebuilding. Will the URLs in our lodged documents still work?

They will if the rebuild plans for it. Past announcements, the annual report and the Appendix 4G point at specific pages, so we map every existing URL before launch and put permanent redirects in place. Governance and policy documents then stay at stable addresses so future disclosures can keep citing them.
